Bringing Bhangra to Britain with a catchy beat and unforgettable lyrics, the first track revealed at the launch was Khushiya, an upbeat, party song, guaranteed to get everybody on the dance floor. The song is sung entirely in Punjabi by Harbhajan Talwar who brings the lyrics to life with his powerful vocals and artistic flair.

A varied soundtrack, the second reveal featured a more urban sound. I Am The King is a dancehall inspired track, featuring the king of Asian reggae himself, Apache Indian, who delivers his performance in his signature style. I Am The King is an infectious song with memorable lyrics and an old school feel.

Attendees were even treated to an exclusive performance by Apache Indian, Harbhajan Talwar and KCK.

Born To Be King is a British Asian film which bravely takes on government corruption and indifference towards India’s growing drug problem. The film aims to appeal to a wide audience, highlighting the pressures of growing up as a third generation British Asian, while simultaneously celebrating Indian culture.
