One Race, One Tongue, One Blood

Kami. K / Jeet present a U.K Asian Allstar Production.

The Game's 'One Blood' remix featuring 24 of the top American rappers became a
huge phenomenon worldwide.

Inspired after hearing this, East London rapper Jeet devised the concept of highlighting the top Asian MC's from the U.K on the same track. Having called on Kami K, an established producer on the Asian scene, to assist in the recording and production, 11 MCs were hand picked and the rest is history:

AG Dolla, V Dubl E, Kan D Man, Drilla Kid, Swami Baracus, Raxstar,
AC, Menis, Dialekt, A-Dot and Jeet.

BRITAIN’S GOT BHANGRA - The Musical

The State Of The British Bhangra Scene

The State Of The British Bhangra Scene By Tony Pabla.
Ok I was asked for my thoughts on the state of the UK Bhangra music scene by Envy Music.
So let’s start where it became poplar. This was the early 80s. This is where the gig scene started, Bands like Alaap, DCS, Apna Sangeet, Pardesi, Azaad, Heera & Premi to name a few were some of the biggest bands out In the mid 80’s. AS Kang was the exception as he was the only solo singer out there.
They dominated the Bhangra scene. The mid 80’s then brought around acts like Golden Star, Safri Boys Shaktee.Back in these days the bands were all live & had a massive present on stage. The gig scene was slowly moving out of function halls & into clubs. For the Asian community this was a major step forward.

FINESSE B’DAY BASH Review

FINESSE B'DAY BASH THURS 7.12.06 LIQUID & ENVY LEICS
Went to this all by my lonesome :'( as the rest of the gigteam pulled sickies (not like it was freezing outside or anything).

First Up was Wiley . Skepta . JME . Maximum . Jammer (???)
The only one I have heard of was Wiley.
Whatever they were singing / mc'ing (I've no idea myself) to had the crowd going.
Although I don't think the sound was that good myself.
