Panjabi Hit Squad Join Asian Network This Saturday
PanjabiHitSquad, arguably the most well known British Asian music group of recent times have been signed to BBCAsianNetwork, beginning thisSaturdayAugust 4th 5pm-8pm.
The BBC is marking the 60th anniversary of the independence of India and Pakistan this summer with a season of programmes across television, radio and online called India & Pakistan '07.It is the biggest, most ambitious piece we've ever done on the South Asian subcontinent. bbc.co.uk/indiapakistan
To mark the launch of this season BBC Asian Network have commissioned a poll amongst British Asians on how they feel about being British- very timely considering what is happening currently. Over a third of British Asians don't feel British despite being permanent UK residents.
