WHY THIS KOLAVERI DI (R&B REMIX) – By Arjun!

British singer, songwriter, producer Arjun has had a great year. Having released tracks such as ‘Stargazer’, ‘Vampire’ and ‘Kabhi Kabhi’, and produced for several other artists, he has firmly established himself as one of the leading British Asian talents in the country.

This week, Arjun re-invents a song that has taken the world by storm! The superbly original ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’, has been an online phenomenon and spread virally around the globe since leaking on the internet. Arjun has now re-created the song with his own British, R&B flavour and with English lyrics he has written himself. Arjun’s version has received an incredible 200,000 hits in just 48 hours!

Arjun has also been praised by the original song’s director Anirudh Ravichander, who posted on Twitter that he ‘really liked’ the British Asian’s version of the cult hit, which has become the most searched YouTube video in India.

Arjun comments:
“I really liked the original “Why This Kolaveri Di”, which is actually taken from the soundtrack of a new Tamil film called ‘3’.

Being of Tamil and British origin, I wanted to re-interpret the song with a British R&B flavour and I’m delighted it has received such a strong response in just the first 48 hours since posting it on YouTube.”
