Sanj / J-Nas is back with 5 new projects in the pipeline and ready to set the music world ablaze!
Sanj is back to provide you with the ultimate anthems of 2007. The long awaited hardcore Bhangra album American Desi from Sanj will release December of this year. Under the persona of J-Nas, August will see the release of Hip-Hop Bollywood album Bollywood Punk.
Birmingham, the City of Cultural Diversity is the home of Ravi Music College, an organisation founded by on of the leading ambassadors of Indian Classical Music, Ajit Mutlashi.
Mutlashi blinded at the age of two years, studied Music at the University of Allahabad, India and embarked in his early 20’s into a career of writing poetry and turning out some of the best Indian Musicians in the field today.
Having founded the Komal School of Indian Music and Dance in Kenya back in the 1970's, Mutlashi then founded the Ravi Music College, Birmingham UK in the late 1990's. Now, at the age of 75 years, Mutlashi is still active in promoting the Arts Heritage and Music of India and still passionate about teaching music.
Rhythm & Raag is the 9th annual show being hosted by Ravi Music College and will feature Indian Classical Music with Western Contemporary Music in a Jazz-fusion style performance. This years show will host students of the College from the United Kingdom and Italy in a culturally diverse show to reflect the culturally diverse City of Birmingham.
The show will also feature a special performance by Swati Natekar, a reputable singer in the East and West. Natekar is the Voice on Jakarta American Dream (Ministry of Sound) a Dance track which reached at the top of the U.K Mainstream Dance charts and appears on more than twenty dance compilations. She is also the vocals on Dance Track Prayer for a God by DJ Producer Darren Tate.
