Sanj / J-Nas is back with 5 new projects in the pipeline and ready to set the music world ablaze!
Sanj is back to provide you with the ultimate anthems of 2007. The long awaited hardcore Bhangra album American Desi from Sanj will release December of this year. Under the persona of J-Nas, August will see the release of Hip-Hop Bollywood album Bollywood Punk.
From the makers of “Dil Chahta Hai”, “Lakshya” and “Don”, comes a fun-filled family entertainer, unusually titled – “Honeymoon Travels”
The cheerful and quirky comedy is woven around six newly married middle-class couples, a guide, a driver and a handyman riding in a bus from Mumbai to the beach paradise, Goa, on a package honeymoon tour.
Interestingly, each couple comes from a different culture and lifestyle, and each spouse in a pair is different from his/her partner as chalk and cheese!Differences between the partners start popping up during the honeymoon itself….The honeymoon to Goa ends up humorously unfolding six different stories that explore the nature of love and real human relationships.
COUPLE 1: Oscar Fernandez (Boman Irani) and Nahid (Shabana Azmi) They are an elderly couple; a bit out of place in this group of young honeymooners. The carefree twosome doesn’t care about people poking fun at them. They are on honeymoon to keep their difficult past behind and search for a new future with each other.
COUPLE 2: Partho Sen (Kay Kay Menon) and Milly Sen (Raima Sen) This couple from suburban Kolkata is engaged in an eternal war of the sexes. A dominating Partho tries curbing his wife’s fun-loving instincts till things get shockingly out of control in Goa!
COUPLE 3: Pinky (Amisha Patel) and Vicky (Karan Khanna) Pinky and Vicky, from Delhi, are poles apart. While Pinky is talkative to the hilt, Vicky is the quiet sort. The reason for his aloofness is manifest at the end.
COUPLE 4: Madhu (Sandhya Mridul) and Bunty (Vikram Chatwal) This is a “crossover couple” with the husband being an affluent NRI from L.A., and the wife, a typical Mumbai girl. Seemingly, they’re well-matched – well, almost like girlfriends!
COUPLE 5: Aspi (Abhay Deol) and Zara (Minissha Lamba)They are, supposedly, the “perfect” couple who’ve never had an argument. All the other couples comment, with envy, on their compatibility, but no one can guess their real secret!
COUPLE 6: Hitesh (Ranvir Shorey) and Shilpa (Dia Mirza)This is a young couple from orthodox Gujarat. Shilpa is petrified of honeymooning but Hitesh assures her that she will return with a smile on her face – words that will prove uncannily ironic in retrospect!
With an enthralling score by Vishal-Shekhar, “Honeymoon Travels” is a young, new-age and hilarious meditation on marriage and the most shocking and unexpected surprises that come with it. Not to be missed!
Shilpa Shetty was born on June 8, 1975, to Surendra Shetty and Sunanda Shetty. Not many people are aware that Shilpa's parents were models in their time. Her mother had modelled for Forhans, Bournvita and her father for Yera glasses. So after tenth standard (grade), when Shilpa had some free time, she went up to a photographer opposite her building and asked him to take her pictures. She gave her photographs to various ad agencies and work started coming in.
At that time, Shilpa was only 15 and wanted to become a ramp model but she didn't get in because she was only 5'7" and not as skinny and tall as other models. She was heart broken when they rejected her. But Shilpa became couple of inches taller later.
Shilpa had no background in acting, but at the age of 17, she was offered the leading role in her first film Gaata Rahe Mera Dil opposite Rahul Roy. But sadly the film never got completed and was stalled. But the offer didn't stop there, the next film she was offered was Baazigar, opposite Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. Which became a super hit and Shilpa earned a Filmfare nomination for Best New Comer.
Next, Shilpa signed two films with Govinda and both flopped and things seem to get worse. But it was her one song 'Churake Dil Mera' in Main Khiladi Tu Anari opposite her ex-boyfriend Akshay Kumar, which completely gave Shilpa a new image in Bollywood. She became the hottest thing ever to happen in Bollywood and she recieved more praise for her (5'10") body than her performances. Her films flopped one after the another and at one point, she thought of quiting.
By that time, Shilpa had already worked in couple of films in Telugu and Tamil. Then she signed Pardesi Babu opposite Govinda and Raveena Tandon. The film flopped but Shilpa won the 'Best Supporting Actress' award at the Zee Gold Bollywood Award.
