Pind Rhamgar’s most successful son came to the shores of the UK in 1979 as a Civil Engineer.
No sooner had he settled in Birmingham he was discovered by Tarlochan Singh Bilga of Bhugungy Group. The group was looking to find 2 fresh singers to continue the band. It was when Kulwant joined the band that he was teamed up with another young man by the name of Sardara Gill and it was from here that the boyhood dreams became reality.
Four years with Bhugungy Group lead to Bhamrah & Gill to explore pastures new as they left to form their own band. A three piece band which was named after what they were all about…Apna Sangeet which means ‘Our Music’ Kulwant provided his powerful voice as well as lyrics and playing keyboards.
