Jeet Chaudhary - Vilayati Jugni

Vilayati Jugni Video – Jeet Chaudhary

The song is the title track from his forthcoming album bearing the same name and is set for release on the 16th Feb 2012. ‘Vilayati Jugni’ is guaranteed dance-floor filler material bringing together the magic of yester-year with the sounds of today.

The lyrics for this and indeed the whole album are written by Jeet and all arranged, mixed and recorded in Mumbai with music composition by Saurabh Kalsi. The eight-track album is to be released under Jeet’s own label ‘Arrangements Ltd’.

Jeet Chaudhary - Vilayati Jugni

Jeet is no stranger to the entertainment arena. He is probably best remembered by the masses as part of BAFTA nominated Channel 4 series ‘The Family’ which gripped the UK Asian communities across most of 2009.
He has also been a regular across the UK’s Asian TV channels having appeared in shows such as ‘Crime Patrol’ on Sony TV and ‘Kahin Kisi Roz’ on Star Plus, ‘Reth’ on Zee TV and ‘Jasoos Vijay’ on Doordarshan.  But there is much more behind this hard working entertainer. Jeet has been on stage since he was 17 years old and has directed and acted in over fifty plays. Jeet spent seven years working professionally as a singer and actor at the Sri Ram Centre Repertory Company in Delhi, India as well as working in a number of mainstream Bollywood movies.
Gangster, Sehar, Insaan, Buddha Never Smiled, The Dressing Room, Chowky, and the Dutch film Kama are just some of the productions under his belt.

Having completed a diploma in acting and Indian contemporary puppets, he went on to operate India’s biggest puppet in the film ‘A Belly Full of Dreams’ which won a National Award in 2008. The list is endless. Jeet even worked for two years with Muzaffar Ali, the director of the legendary film ‘Umrao Jaan’ on the Indo-French opera ‘Fakir Of Banaras’. Never one to rest on his laurels, Jeet and his wife Kaki recently finished writing the screenplay for a British Asian film called ‘Nachle London’.

Jeet says of his career to date: “I love acting, singing, writing and performing. I was born for this. If I do something that makes someone smile or dance, then I feel I am going in the right direction. I really hope people like the songs and appreciate all the hard work that has been put in it”.
