Freedom Films and Jaspinder Randhawa is proud to present its first ever production releasing later this year, with its film Suhe Phull that promises to change the face of Punjabi cinema forever.

This project has already been supported by the world re known prestigious International Film Festivals.

Inspired by a short story by late Balwant Gargi this film is anything but typical and to date Punajbi cinema has seen nothing that will compare. It Introduces a new genre to appeal to an already fast growing audience of Punjabi films and covers an untouched subject in the history of Pollywood. The story is about a friendship between a struggling writer and a struggling singer and the theme covers an untouched subject, that some people may perceive as black magic or insanity. All is not what it seems and will leave viewers mystified and wanting to watch again and again.

Produced by Freedom films and Jaspinder Randhawa, a young producer with a clear objective set to change the way Punjabi films are currently perceived. It strays away from any typical themes and will leave the viewers mystified and curious.

The film stars Nishawn Bhullar, singer-song writer and record producer who is very well known for his patriotic songs (such as “Bhagat Singh”) and also a Punjabi singer whose debut film Nabar released last year won a National Award. He’s worked hard on his character and for the first time a Punjabi artist is playing such a challenging role. Nishwan Bhullar has supported the team throughout the film. He is known for doing the impossible and always has something different to offer, whether he’s on screen, singing or acting.

Mani Kapoor takes the female lead in the film, who is a well known actress and model in the Punjabi industry.

Upinder Randhawa who is also starring in the film has previously acted in Punjabi films. He started off as a radio presenter and soon landed a job as a TV presenter. His most famous and proud work to date, is the live coverage he did during the riots in England in & documentaries worldwide on Sky TV, BBC and ITV. He also has a pivotal role in the Punjabi International Film Festival, Toronto which he has hosted and presented from its first year.

This film is also supported by the icon of punjabi cinema Harbhajan Mann Ji who needs no introductions. He makes his appearance in a very special and interesting role in this film, showing his support towards good literary and new ventures in Punjabi cinema.

International music star the J-Star of ‘Mundri’ fame is making his debut as a Film Music Producer. He will be touching millions of hearts with his music featuring in Suhe Phull.

The film is proud to present songs by both Nishwan Bhullar and Jaspinder Randhawa with lyrics also by Nishwan Bhullar, Baljit Chumber, Navdeep and Shivdeep.

Story and screenplay are by Chander Kamboj.

Cinematography and D.O.P. by Inderjit Bansel from Mumbai, who is well known in both the film and TV industry.
