Indian couture label, Soltee by Sulakshana Monga, and premium jewellery brand, Red Dot Jewels, will be presenting the Shoreditch Fashion Weekender in association with official charity partner, Asian Circle. The two-day, trunk show event will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August, 10am – 5pm at The Hoxton Shoreditch, 81 Great Eastern Street, London EC2A 3HU.
Bringing a taste of South Asian high fashion to London’s style capital, Shoreditch Fashion Weekender will present Soltee’s Intrinsic Beauty collection, after unanimous praise garnered at Amazon India Fashion Week. Sulakshana Monga’s lauded designs transcend the boundaries of seasonal trends in favour of an experimentation with aesthetics – masterpieces sought after by Indian fashion influencers and tastemakers across the globe. High profile clients include Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Ileana D’Cruz and Sunny Leone.
One of the most sought after new gen South Asian accessory labels in the UK, will be curating its Pink City collection at the fashion pop-up event. Inspiration for the collection derives from the architecture, culture and art of the Pink City of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The collection pays homage to traditional techniques and craftsmanship, beautifully handmade by designers who have mastered their skills from generations before them. Jaipur has a rich and ancient heritage of which fashion in an integral part. The Pink City collection is Red Dot Jewels’ reinterpretation of the aesthetic for the western Asian woman.
Ten per cent of sales generated at Shoreditch Fashion Weekender will be donated to the event’s official charity partner, Asian Circle, a network of UK-based Asian Women with a passion to support vulnerable women in India and South Asia by building awareness of their plight and through fund-raising. Founded and chaired by Santosh Bhanot, Asian Circle membership includes leading businesswomen, lawyers, financiers and entrepreneurs working in partnership with Oxfam.
