PBN – Kaun Nee Jaandah – Going for number 1!

Last month The Official Asian Download Chart show was launched on the BBC Asian Network. The chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company from UK sales data measured across a seven-day period from a panel of more than 25 digital retailers. The chart is a real milestone for the UK Asian music scene and its growth.

Reacting to the changing music scene, for the first time ever Bhangra producer PBN has decided to release a single from a forthcoming album prior to the release of the whole album. The tremendous first single 'Kaun Nee Jaandah' featuring The Dhol Foundation and Daljit Mattu was released last Thursday (15th April) on iTunes to much fanfare and demand. The track has become an instant hit with Bhangra fans and media outlets, catapulting into playlists and music players around the country.

Within hours of its release 'Kaun Nee Jaandah' managed to become the first Bhangra track to have a stint in the number one position on the iTunes UK World music store and with the continued support of music fans, it could also be the first Bhangra number one on The Official Asian Download Chart this Saturday.
