Manchester’s Bonafide to perform alongside Pakistani Pop Legend Abrar-ul-Haq in Dubai
Manchester based musicians Bonafide will be kick-starting 2011 in style with a unique performance in Dubai. Maz and Ziggy of Bonafide will be jet-setting to the glamorous city to perform at ‘Battle of the Legends’, a charity cricket match between India and Pakistan in February.
This event unites two great cricketing nations for an opportunity to raise funds for charity. It will see India’s renowned cricket team will play in a one-off charity battle against the finest Pakistani cricket players followed by a sensational gala dinner and charity auction.
Tying in the activities Bonafide have taken part in during the last few months, dedicating their time to helping the victims of the Pakistan floods, this event relays the same aim and purpose that Bonafide have projected in their own personal charity campaign.
Performing alongside Pakistani singing sensation, Abrar-ul-Haq, Bonafide will be showcasing their smash hits such as, ‘Ishq Hogaya’, ‘Galay Lag Ja’ and their charity single, ‘Jeevay Pakistan’.
The evening will have some of the world’s most high profile cricket legends in attendance such as former Pakistani captain, Wasim Akram and former Indian captain and spin bowler, Anil Kumble. Maz comments, “It is an honour to perform at such a prestigious event. Not only do we have the chance to showcase our music to our sporting heroes but it is all for a good cause.
