KUNWARR Enters a New Era with “Crazy4U”, Blending Punjabi Melodies with a Global Sound

For KUNWARR, “Crazy4U” marks the beginning of a new chapter. Built around the obsessive, late-night feeling of being unable to stop thinking about someone, the track combines Punjabi melodies with a modern global sound, offering a more confident and polished direction for the rising artist.

The song came together organically, with KUNWARR having the hook in his head for some time before the production was built around the emotion behind it. While the overall vibe came together quickly, time was taken to refine the sound and find the right balance between being minimal, catchy and emotional.

“I want people to feel seen,” says KUNWARR. “Everyone has had that moment where they are just completely crazy for someone. If they can play it on a drive, at 2AM, or send it to their person, that’s a win for me.”

That emotional connection is central to KUNWARR’s approach to music, but “Crazy4U” also represents a clear shift from his previous release, “Piche Tere”. Where that track explored heartbreak, “Crazy4U” embraces obsessive love with a more confident energy.

The evolution is not only reflected in the music but also in the visual world surrounding the release. KUNWARR pushed himself to create something that felt more global, with the visuals shot in Albania to give the project a bigger international feel.

“I wanted it to sound and look bigger,” he explains.

For those discovering him for the first time, KUNWARR describes his sound as Punjabi melodies with a global influence. His ambition is to create music that can exist across different spaces — from reels and clubs to more personal moments — while maintaining an emotional core.

“This is the new urban Punjabi wave and it’s soon gonna be undeniable,” he says.

His influences reflect that crossover approach. While his Punjabi roots remain at the heart of his music, KUNWARR has also drawn inspiration from Afro sounds, pop and UK music. It is this combination of influences that he believes has helped shape an identity that is distinctly his own.

That identity has become clearer as his music has developed. Initially, KUNWARR says he was experimenting and finding his direction. Now, he feels more confident about the sound he wants to create. Following “Piche Tere”, which generated more than 3 million reels, “Crazy4U” represents another step forward, with a more polished approach to both his songwriting and performance while retaining the authenticity that sits at the centre of his music.

And “Crazy4U” is only the beginning. KUNWARR says the track signals the start of a new era, with more music already in the pipeline, including major collaborations and a different sound that he is keen to introduce.

“I don’t want to stop,” he says.

His ambitions extend well beyond his current releases. KUNWARR is focused on taking his music to a global audience, with plans for more music, his first UK tour and the hope that “Crazy4U” becomes the track through which international audiences discover him.

When it comes to dream collaborations, he has his sights set on two artists who represent different aspects of the musical landscape he wants to explore: Imran Khan, for the way he helped take Punjabi music to a global audience, and Central Cee, for his UK influence. For KUNWARR, a collaboration between the two worlds could create something unexpected.

Ultimately, though, his ambitions come back to the emotional connection between an artist and their audience. KUNWARR wants to be remembered for honesty, memorable melodies and music that makes people feel something.

“I want people to remember KUNWARR as an artist who made them feel something, every single time.”

With “Crazy4U”, that new era is already underway.
