Veer Bal Diwas || Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Delhi

Four sons of Guru Gobind Singh were martyred. 26th December is chosen as Veer Baal Diwas as it was the day observed as the martyrdom day of the ‘Sahibzadas’ — Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, who were killed at a young age of six and nine in Sirhind (Punjab) by Mughal forces. The Union government is organizing an event on “Veer Baal Diwas” at India Gate in the national capital today, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present.

ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ। 26 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀਰ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਵਸ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ‘ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ’ – ਜ਼ੋਰਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਛੇ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਗਲ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ (ਪੰਜਾਬ) ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ। . ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅੱਜ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਗੇਟ ‘ਤੇ “ਵੀਰ ਬਾਲ ਦਿਵਸ” ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ।
