A throwback to 2013 – the mix which, quite possibly, set the trend for future Bhangra mixes in the UK and worldwide…

DJ Frenzy is renowned for making seamless mixes of the latest dancefloor anthems and, especially, for using the beats of artists like Tru-Skool as his basis for these tracks. This is a trend which has since caught on with many other DJs and Remixers across the globe and sparked a new generation of mixing.

The 2013 JVD BW Mix is widely noted as the “Game-Changer mix” and has received recognition from the public and artists alike.

“Following on from some of the points I mentioned in my latest Vlog (Episode 3 – #FrenzyVLogs), I thought it would be a good opportunity to showcase some of my earlier work on YouTube. Listening back, I’ve noticed how my technique has since improved with the overall sound levels and also my style of mixing, but I’m still very, very proud of this piece of work.

I was given ‘free-rein’ with this mix to create anything that I wanted (within the structures of a typical Bhangra routine). After this, the set was then choreographed to the piece of music that I had created. This was a relatively new way of creating a full Bhangra routine at the time and, something which I feel, helped add to the overall impact of the routine.”
