The Lebara Mobile UK Asian Music Awards 2011… Nominations Party in Birmingham!
As a taste of what the gala night promises to bring, the Midlands bash will feature a showcase of some of the finest British Asian talent in the industry. The evening will play host to a number of performances throughout the night from the likes of chart topping Bhangra singer, Foji, hot newcomer Gary Sandhu and reggae artist Roachkilla, alongside urban desi heartthrob H Dhami, and pop sensation Mumzy Stranger.
Abs Shaid, co-founder and CEO of the UK AMA says: ‘Following last year’s extremely successful nominations party, we are very happy to be back in the Midlands, making the AMA’s a truly national event. The Midlands is the true heart of the UK Bhangra scene and we always get a huge amount of support from the people here. We hope that this will be a fitting way to thank the Midlands fans for all their support over the years!’
This is a great opportunity for all those with a love for the British Asian music scene to come and celebrate the best in home-grown talent before the big Gala event.
Following the party, the public will be invited to vote for their favourites under each category by logging back onto the official website, www.theukama.com and casting their vote. All winners will be announced at the main show on March 10th 2011.
