Following the unprecedented success of the 2010 satire, Tere Bin Laden, discerning audiences of new age Indian cinema will be in for a cinematic treat as Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive releases in cinemas on 26th February, distributed worldwide by Reliance Entertainment.

The second installment of the acclaimed Tere Bin Laden, a brilliant, comical satire and socio-political observation that was well received by audiences and critics alike, is not a conventional sequel per se but a spin-off inspired by the earlier film. Abhishek Sharma delivers another unsuspecting hit-in-the-making that’s sure to be appreciated by connoisseurs of genre-defining cinema. Mastering the art of combining entertainment with thought-provoking debate, the maverick filmmaker now presents a thoughtful insight into the post Osama world, shrouded in suspicion.

Television host, Manish Paul, conventionally known for his anchoring of popular reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, owns the screen as a budding Bollywood director who becomes embroiled in one of the biggest political conspiracies of the modern world. Joining him onscreen is an ensemble of contemporary Indian cinema’s most formidable talent including Pradhuman Singh, Sikandar Kher and Piyush Mishra. Paying homage to his role in the earlier film is Ali Zafar essaying a very special role.

Synopsis:

It is now operation Osama Dead or Alive? Set against Osama Bin Laden’s mysterious death followed by counter reports claiming he is alive, stirring the biggest controversy in the world. The US wants to prove to the world that they shot him dead while the Taliban wants the world to believe he is alive. Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive is a whacky, comical satire that transpires in this desperate tug of war between US and Taliban. Stuck in this distressed crossfire is a budding Bollywood director ‘Sharma’ (Manish Paul), looking for a big break. He gets hired by US agent ‘David Chaddha’ (Sikandar Kher) on the pretext of making a Hollywood film on Osama using his doppelganger, ‘Paddi Singh’ (Pradhuman Singh). The hidden motive is to shoot a fake tape to prove his death. This top-secret operation boomerangs when Taliban’s arms dealer ‘Khalili’ (Piyush Mishra) hijacks their idea to prove Osama is alive. Will the world’s biggest controversy get solved?
