Sumptuous Pan-Asian Restaurant, Tamarai, launches romantic Valentine’s Menu

 The result comprises an indulgent threecourse meal against a romantic and aromatic atmosphere, complemented by a glorious selection of wines from The Independent’s coveted Best Wine List awarded menu from Grover Vineyards, India.Highlights include mouth-watering starter dishes such as Vegetarian Dim Sum, Sweet Chilli Lotus Root, Baby Calamari and Smoked Salmon Thayar Satham with Tomato Pickle.  Large plates feature gastronomic innovations like Curry Leaf Chicken served with Wild Rice Uppama, Black Tiger Prawns with Butter Pepper Garlic and a favourite, Thai Green Curry, with Steamed Jasmine Rice.
 
For those with a sweet tooth, tempting dessert combinations from the Chefs very own dessert platter will be hard to resist. Grover Vineyards has established itself as India’s premier winery. The first vineyards were planted in the Nandi Hills region of the Karnataka state.  With over 400 hectares under vine, Michel Rolland, one of the world’s foremost wine consultants, has transformed the vineyards and winery to make world-class wines. Grover Wines are now consumed in over 20 countries. 
Tamarai is an elegant, 110-seat restaurant, renowned for its pan Asian cuisine which follows the Latin Routes from Chettinad in South India to Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China making it the ideal and impressive setting for any romantic dinner date.  
 
Like the Lotus flower that it is named after, Tamarai metamorphoses from a perfect stop for delicious and innovative cocktails after work to a late night bar. 
Dinner from 5.30pm features Chef Manish Mehrotra’s incredible Pan Asian Valentine’s Menu coupled with Charles Metcalfe’s selection of award winning wines, making it an unforgettable evening. 
Post 11.30pm, the lights dim as the bar and music hold sway and Tamarai’s resident video jockey bewitches clientele with his hypnotising audio-visuals into the early hours of the morning.
