RIP Rajesh Khanna – The First Superstar of Indian Cinema

Less than a week after the death of Dara Singh, the Mumbai film fraternity lost another of their own.
Rajesh Khanna passed away in the early hours of this morning at his home in Mumbai at the age of 69.
Rajesh Khanna was married to Dimple Kapadia, but the couple got seperated during the mid 70's. They have 2 daughters together, Twinkle (Who is married to Bollywood Superstar, Akshay Kumar) & Rinke.
Alongside music director RD Burman & singer Kishore Kumar, they created some of the biggest numbers from Bopllywood in the  60s & 70s
Rajesh Khanna was a Bollywood actor, film producer and politician. (born Jatin Khanna on 29 December 1942)
During his career, he appeared in over 180 films. He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards and was nominated for the same fourteen times. He was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Khanna is referred to as the “First Superstar” of Indian cinema. He had "the biggest and the maddest fan following, especially his female fans," which, according to Entertainment One India, has not been duplicated since he rose to fame in the 1970s.
He served a five year tenure as MP in the Indian parliament (1991–1996).
