Red One releases on 6th November 2024

Dwayne Johnson is no stranger to the action-comedy genre. From Red Notice to Central Intelligence, he is the perfect actor to play to brawn and his chemistry with actors such as Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart. And now he returns in another entertainer this festive season called Red One.

Alongside him stars Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Wesley Kimmel and J.K. Simmons.  He reunites with his Jumanji director, Jake Kasdan and uses his company Seven Bucks Productions to produce it with The Detective Agency and MGM Productions.

The film follows Johnson who plays the North Pole’s Head of Security as he teams up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Chris Evans) in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.

It looks like we’re getting a big, adventurous, star-filled family Christmas blockbuster bolstered by Evans and Johnson’s boundless charisma and some nifty looking action set-pieces, all wrapped up in an intriguing fantasy-inflected mystery. 

The trailer is action-packed and full of laughs that will keep the audience amused and entertained. The new team of Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson is surely intriguing and it’ll be interesting to see if we’re gonna see any DC vs Marvel jokes.
