Rajmah Masaledar recipe

Rajmah Masaledar aka Spicy kidney Beans !

Rajmah 200g

4 tbsp cooking oil

2 medium Onions Finely Chopped

2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste

1 Tomato tin pureed

2 tbs Tomato Puree

2 tsp Coriander Powder

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

2 tsp Degi Chilli Powder

2 tsp Cumin Powder

1 tsp Garam Masala Powder

Salt to taste

1tbs Rajmah Masala MDH

Fresh Coriander Chopped

Instructions

Wash the rajma and soak in enough water for 5-6 hours.

Drain the water.

Add the soaked rajma with 2 tsp of salt and water in a pot and boil

Cook till rajma is soft and cooked.

Remove from heat once cooked and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan.

When the oil is hot, add onion and fry till lightly brown.

Add Ginger Garlic paste and fry till onion is golden brown.

Add tomato tin pureed and tomato puree and cook for a minute.

Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, degi chili powder, cumin powder, and garam masala powder and fry for a few seconds.

Add some water and cook the masala till oil separates on the side of the pan.

Add the cooked rajma, Rajmah mdh masala along with the water and simmer on low heat for half hour stirring occasionally.

Slightly press a few rajmah with the back of a ladle and make sure consistency of the gravy is nice and silky absorbed by the Rajmah

Add more boiled water required.

Check seasoning, garnish with Fresh Coriander.

Serve hot with steamed rice.
