Out 28th Feb 25 – DJ Funky T – “Tu Meri Rani Si”  Elahi Sohal & Tony Hayer

Born and bred in Nottingham UK DJ Funky T (real name Tony Hayer) comes from a musical family whose

roots nestle deeply in music from his native home village ‘Littran’ in Punjab India.

DJ Funky T grew up intensely listening to 80’s / 90’s soul, new jack, swing, hip-hop,

RnB, pop, and various multitude of genres and in earlier years played guitar & drums and has also

been djing for over 27 years playing in all major establishments across the UK with

various residencies spanning over the last 2 decades.

Alongside this he has been producing music specialising in love RnB curating his own unique

east west fusion style like no other. Now finally DJ Funky T is set to release his first major

single ‘Tu Meri Rani Si’ which features the spectacular female singer Elahi Sohal widely known as the

‘Voice of Punjab’ Season 9 Semi Finalist.

DJ Funky T visits his farm home regularly and recently in December 2024 spent time in the Himalayas deriving this song and then teamed up with Elahi Sohal in Punjab who sings this song based on true events personally close to DJ Funky T and his own personal true story.

DJ Funky T is on a mission to only curate and produce music with the one main intention in

mind which is to touch people’s souls and to make them feel more alive and to lift their spirit

be it a meaningful sad or happy dance song. He also has passion for funk, electro house and 2

Step garage, so watch this space on further tracks set to be released later this year.
