Mentor Kolektiv & Pathaan On The BBC Asian Network

Markie Mark Head of Music BBC Asian Network announce's two new signings to our new Saturday night line-up, launching 17th June.

Mentor Kolektiv start the Saturday night selection with The Jump Off (5-8pm). The London-based Kolektiv (comprising Mentor, singer Des-C, rapper AC and DJ Mak) will be kicking off the proceedings with an upbeat mix of Bhangra, Desi Beats, Bollywood and Urban.

The TwoPointNine signings made their mark last year with debut album 'Broke', and Mentor has played a pivotal role in the success of label mates Rishi Rich Project, Veronica and Juggy D.

And we have Pathaan's Musical Rickshaw taking off every Saturday night from Midnight-2am, on a 'journey to India and back via Lahore, Istanbul, Marakech and Paris'. Pathaan brings the best in Globetronica and Asian Chill, and a background of specialist DJ experience stretching from Talvin Singh's Anokha, through to his acclaimed Sunset and Stoned Asia compilation series.
