Mandy Takhar – The Queen of Punjabi cinema
Mandy Takhar, the British actress who plays Jasmine in the current blockbuster super-hit ‘Sardaar Ji’ is being dubbed the Queen Punjabi cinema!
‘Sardaar Ji’ starring Diijit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa has broken all records at the box office by having one of the most successful openings of any Punjabi film to date.
Mandy has been praised globally for her superb acting as the sensitive and introvert British-Indian ‘Jasmine’ in the movie. Her on-screen chemistry with Jaggi, played by the one and only Diljit Dosanjh has also stolen hearts of fans. The pair have been seen together for the first everand have received an immense amount of praise from the public for their ‘fun loving’ and ‘cute’ Jodi on the big screen.
“I’m totally overwhelmed by the response and love I’m getting from all over the world for my performance as Jasmine. I’m still trying to take it all in,” says Mandy Takhar.
Sardaar Ji a light-heart romantic comedy, is directed by Rohit Jugraj, and starring Diljit Dosanjh, Mandy Takhar and Neeru Bajwa as leads. The film released on 26th June 2015 and is currently showing in cinemas.
