Legendary Baloch Musician Ustad Noor Bakhsh Leads Powerful South Asian Line-Up at the Barbican

A night of musical mastery is set to unfold in London as the Barbican and South Asian cultural platform Dialled In present a genre-spanning concert featuring three of the most electrifying South Asian talents of our time.
Headlining the evening is Ustad Noor Bakhsh, the 78-year-old benju virtuoso from Balochistan, whose music—rooted in ancient Baloch folk traditions—is raw, ecstatic, and transcendent. Though a legend in his homeland, Noor Bakhsh only began touring internationally in 2023. This rare UK appearance offers Punjabi and South Asian music lovers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience his spellbinding sound live.
Joining him is Jaubi, the Lahore-based collective acclaimed for their ability to fuse Hindustani classical music with spiritual jazz and hip-hop. Their 2024 album A Sound Heart garnered global critical acclaim and cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting forces in contemporary South Asian music.
Completing the line-up is Amrit Kaur, a North London singer-songwriter, sarangi player, and proud British Punjabi whose music blends soul, R&B, and Sikh spirituality. Her performances have been described as emotionally stirring and sonically unique—celebrated by none other than Rick Rubin.
