Leading British Asian figures unite for one night in aid of Flood appeal
Hosted by the beautiful model and TV presenter, Gulzaeb Beg Ali and charismatic TV/Radio broadcaster, Murtz, the evening hopes to bring everyone together for this worthy cause.
July 2010 saw severe floods hit Pakistan, which affected close to 15 million people. It is thought to be the worst flood to hit the region for eighty years, causing complete turmoil for the people of Pakistan. Around a fifth of Pakistan’s land has been affected and people are struggling with shortages of food, clean water, shelter and medicine as a result of the flooding. All funds raised will go directly to the DEC appeal and will slowly help re-build the lives of the people in Pakistan.
There promises to be an array of entertainment on the night, with performances by Canadian superstar Raghav, recent chart topping Bhangra artist, PBN, Manchester duo Bonafide and Pakistani pop producer Khiza*.
A glamorous star-studded fashion show, choreographed by established modelling agency, Caramel Models, will also be taking place with top designers. The music on the night will be courtesy of BBC Radio 1’s DJ Nihal and UK AMA award winning, Jags Klimax. Added to this will be a 3 course sit down meal, magic, hypnosis and even a celebrity charity auction! With so much on offer, it will be unmissable!
Host for the evening, Gulzaeb comments, ‘We really appreciate the support we have received from everyone so far. Award winning designers Ekta Solanki and Ziggi Studio, fashion houses RDC, Blush Couture and international designer Rohit K Verma have come on board as well as professional make-up and hair stylists who are also lending a hand in their areas of expertise for the event’.
Everyone is invited to attend this fantastic evening and show their support. Every penny counts and with your help the much-needed funds for the people of Pakistan will be raised and will make the event a roaring success!
The organisers of the event add, ’It is heart-warming to see everyone, not only from the industry, but from all walks of life, coming together to help this cause. We just want to emphasise the importance of the whole industry getting together, pitching in and doing their bit for what really is a human catastrophe of epic proportions. We hope that everyone will join us by attending and purchasing a ticket to do their bit to support those that really are in need at this moment’.
