Kheer recipe

Kheer aka Indian Rice Pudding !!!!

1 cup rice pudding
5 cups Full Fat Milk
5 tablespoons Sugar (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder
1/3 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 teaspoons Ghee (clarified butter)
2 tablespoon chopped Cashew nuts
1 tablespoon chopped Almonds
1 tablespoon of raisins
1 teaspoon of cashews and almonds chopped for garnish

Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan or non-stick pan,

Then put milk in and washed rice sttir continuously and cook until milk is absorbed and mixture becomes medium thick. It will take approx half an hour on medium flame.

Now add sugar, cardamom powder and condensed milk simmer low heat for 5 mins.

Mixture will become a medium thick consistency.

Add cashew, almonds, raisins simmer for a further 5 mins on medium heat stirring constantly

Transfer prepared kheer to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cashew nuts almonds. Serve it hot or place it in a refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving it cold and serve chilled. Instant and easy rice kheer with condensed milk is ready.
