KAUN BANEGI SHIKHARWATI: A CRAZY ROLLERCOASTER FULL OF LAUGHTER AND DRAMA

Family is always the forefront for everyone in India. Living in harmony and peace is paramount. But what happens when you are all pitted against one another? Jealously gets the best of you, motivating you to be better and beat your opponent. Zee5’s newest original series, Kaun Banegi Shikarwati uses this trope in a comedic manner and what results in a rollercoaster full of drama.

The series follows King Mriyunjay (Nasureddin Shah) who brings together his four daughters, Devyani (Lara Dutt Bhupati), Gayatri (Soha Ali Khan), Kamini (Kritika Kamra) and Uma (Anya Singh) together to save his palace. But this is all of this is an outlandish ruse for the King as an income tax investigation looms over the palace’s hidden treasure.

What can we say about the legend that is Nasureddin Shah? Once again, he shows us his powerful versatility with his comedic timing and hilarious dialogues. His depiction of the dense King is actually really adorable. Even though he comes up with a devious plot to get his daughters together, you see a vulnerable side to him as a father who loves his daughters very much. The four daughters played by Lara Dutt Bhupathi, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra and Anya Singh portray their respective characters amazingly, even if they are fighting it out to be the next in line. Kaun Banegi Shikharwati is a surprisingly delightful watch and will leave you in stitches with the comedic timing, the drama and also the storyline.
