JOKER – film review

Joker poster

The film already labeled as ridiculous and by some as the worst Bollywood motion picture to be made. It has many flaws in which the film just did not appeal. This fantasy film attempt by Shirish Kunder is an epic flop and although the concept being dull and boring, there were minimal positives to take out from it

Joker had features that can be related with other Bollywood films such as Swades, where a well-settled U.S citizen visits India and ends up helping the village. Koi Mil Gaya has to be a much better and well-crafted Alien based movie. That was the last time a successful attempt to brandish aliens on the big screens in Bollywood, but this time it was a disaster.

The 1st half was more compelling even though that is a strong word to try and implicate for such film. The characters such as Akshay and Shreyas impressed and their dialogues did make the viewers smirk. The 2nd half was terrible just as the script. The story concept is to blame for the films failure to impress at all.

Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha did not have a fascinating chemistry on screen. It was definitely not their best performance. Shreyas Talpade is a character that leaves his mark in such film, probably for his gibberish form of talking helps to stand him out from the rest as he bought in majority of the laughter that was present.

The script had an average start but later through the film the script was a joke. It is understandable what the script was trying to portray, but not having a strong concept kept pulling the film in to a deeper hole in which only bad reviews seem to be picked out.

Overall JOKER is a film to avoid, struggled to get through it in the cinema screening and can’t even consider watching it again in the future.

JOKER rating is 1/5
