Bollywood’s biggest star, Akshay Kumar, plays real life hero at Cineworld Feltham!

Interview with the Stars and Director of Tees Maar Khan

From his debut film Saughand back in 1991, to his forthcomming film Tees Maar Khan, Akshay has gone strenght to strenght & is easily up there as 1 of the biggest Indian (Bollywood) actors on the silver screen.
So when we were invited to interview Akshay Kumar along side Katrina Kaif & Producer / Director Farah Khan for their UK press tour to promote Tees Maar Khan, naturally we said yes to it.
So the Punjab2000 boys caught up with Akshay Kumar and Farah Khan at the posh Bentley Hotel in Harrington Gardens, London .
P2k: So Farah and Akshay tell us a little more about this film.
Farah & Akshay: well this film is a comedy a bit like the English films Austin Powers and Pink Panther which will make you laugh.  It also has to joint together villains as the both bodies joint (laughs)
P2k: Akshay your working with Katrina Kaif for the 6th time how is she to work with?
Akshay: Well what can I say about Katrina?  Honestly she is superb to work with. I mean this is our 6th film together,  she is beautiful young and still learning all about this industry and acting it self, she is one to look forward to in the future,
She Katrina still exudes freshness in every film and that makes her likeable – a rare asset and a goldmine for any actor.
Hopefully if the audience likes our on screen Jodi, then we don't see no reason not to work with each other again.
Farah: I just thought I would say I had Katrina in mind for the film "Main Hoon Na" just to do an item song, but it never happened.… So it’s a first for me to work with Katrina, and I can say it was a pleasant experiance
P2k: Farah and Akshay how long did Tees Maar Khan take to make?
Farah & Akshay:  This film took 58 days to make, it was shot in a gown called in Gatum. Also the train that you see in the films is also made by us, we had to use a truck just to hold the top of the train so it looked really on screen that was hard work but we all got trough it with the help of the Tees Maar Khan crew in total it took us 5days to shoot the scene.!
P2k: Farah what made you choose Akshay in the lead, rather then ShahRukh Khan?
Farah: well I had a story and script ready and I was thinking who could fit the role (Akshay butts in- well Farah ji rang me at 6am so I answered her call and I got the role) (laughs) Farah: well I had Akshay in mind from day1 I don’t think know one else could fit the role apart from him, I have known Akshay for 26 years and I have never worked with him before, so here we have him as Tees Maar Khan.
P2k: Are there any other projects which you guys are working on?
Farah & Akshay:  Farah: Well we both are working on a new film which will be released at the end of 2011 entitled  ‘JOKER’ which again has Akshay in the lead.
Akshay: This will be the first ever bollywood moive to be made in 3D so watch out for it. I also have another 2 films due out next year. 1 called Patiala House, as you know since you guys were present on the sets of the film, when we shooting at Trent Bridge Cricket ground in Nottingham, and one called " Thank You "
P2k: And finally anything you guys would like to say to the fans out there?
Farah & Akshay: Farah: well people please go and see my film. Akshay: I just want to say please go and see Tees Maar Khan and show the same support you have given me in my previous film, an not forgetting always take care of your self and your parents.
