Innovative Pan Asian Restaurant, Tamarai, brings the Spa Cuisine of Asia to Covent Garden

The spa cuisine-inspired Detox Menu will run from 1st February – 15th March, featuring delicious and detoxifying dishes such as Celery and Carrot Salad, Chettinad Spice Tempering and Almond Milk Yogurt.
Large plates feature gastronomic innovations like Steamed Shredded Tofu, Herb Ginseng Broth, Poached Fish Dumpling and Goji Berry Confit, accompanied by a proportionate serving of Wok Tossed Quinoa. And for those with a sweet tooth, a dessert of Flame Roast Banana, Palm Sugar and Five Spice Glaze will ensure that the waistline will remain svelte, without compromising on taste.  Award-winning Chef Manish Mehrotra has recently received the rare honour of being invited as Master Chef to the World Gourmet Summit, Singapore

Further recognitions include being invited to prepare a special Tamarai Chettinad Breakfast at the World Economic Forum in Davos hosted by Mahindra Satyam. Tamarai is an elegant, 110-seat restaurant, renowned for its Pan Asian cuisine which follows the Latin Routes from Chettinad in South India to Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.

Like the Lotus flower that it is named after, Tamarai metamorphoses from a perfect stop for delicious and innovative cocktails after work to a late night bar.  Dinner from 5.30pm features Manish Mehrotra’s incredible Pan Asian Menu coupled with Charles Metcalfe’s selection of award winning wines.

Post 11.30pm, the lights dim as the bar and music hold sway and Tamarai’s resident video jockey bewitches clientele with his hypnotising audio-visuals into the early hours of the morning.

Reservations at Tamarai are recommended. Diners are offered complimentary parking for up to three hours at NCP Drury Lane.
