Fooling and deserting innocent girls by NRI grooms is a worrisome social issue – particularly in the state of Punjab. Although the matter has been raised at various platforms in the past, unfortunately, no fool-proof system to nab the accused grooms could be formulated so far. Moreover, the desire in Punjabi youth to settle abroad has worsened the scenario that more and more youngsters are trapped in fraudulent marriages. To keep a check on such fraud NRI marriages, various channels of redressal of such grievances take time and some don’t even work outside the country.

In this first episode of Es Raat Di Saver Hai, meet Ms. Amritpal Kaur – who has been a victim of a fraudulent NRI Marriage and has been fighting for justice for 9 years now. Other than her own case, she is also volunteering to provide assistance to other victims with the procedures to file and fight similar cases.
