Hitman retains title at InterPool Open in Sweden

This time last year Raj Hundal managed to fit in a nice 9-Ball victory at the InterPool Open in Sweden before he shot off to Las Vegas for the Matchroom Sports production of the 2009 World Pool Masters.
This year you could have forgiven him for feeling the heat as the pressure of responsibility as the defending champion weighs him down, as "The Hitman" will be the target with everyone knowing he was the man to beat in Gävle this weekend.
In fact, nothing could be further from the truth as the West London potter cruised through the field of competitors culminating in a final 11-7 victory over Sweden's most celebrated pool player, Marcus Chamat, retaining the title for a second year.
Raj commented on his victory as "It was tough to defend this title as I had imagined it would be, these days there are a lot of young talented players in Europe, who would love to beat a guy like me. They are hungry like I was when I was coming up but my job is not to make it easy for them so I played good on them and then met my Swedish nemesis in the finals again. It was high quality match and I caught a gear when I needed too and sprinted to the finish line.
I look forward to defending my title once again next year in Sweden"
