Harbhajan Mann

Harbhajan Mann opened his eyes in this beautiful world on 30th December' in Khemuana,Punjab with the God's special gift….. his Golden Voice and that too with pleasant and gracious nature.
He is soft spoken, sincere and respectful personality or one can say that A COMPLETE MAN. Harbhajan prefers vegetarian food. Vegetable Jalfarezi and roti seems more than enough for Harbhajan, though as an afterthought, the Shahi Paneer and Masala Mushrooms are added on. In between concerts and movie shooting, Harbhajan likes to take out time to spread a few social messages in Punjab's schools and colleges about the danger and distress caused by drugs, also dowry.
 He is fond of keeping in close touch with the news – Harbhajan reads close to eight newspapers daily. He is fond of reading newspaper.
 He is proud to give free shows for Kargil and also worked with Corporate Clients like Godrej, Coke, Bajaj, Airtel, Spice and many more. His dream is to see Punjabi cinema achieving its place in Indian regional cinema.
 Harbhajan started singing in 1977-78 and as an amateur who used to perform in local shows for the Asian community while in his school in Canada. His aspirations to sing professionally were sparked when he studied music from his first guru, Karnail Singh. His first professional break came to him in 1992 while he was still in Canada with the release of Chithiye Nee Chithiye. This track became a successful with the target audiences in Punjab. After the success of the single Chithiye Nee Chithiye in India, Harbhajan realized that the industry for Punjabi music was too limited in Canada. Harbhajan returned to Punjab to record his albums. Harbhajan`s melodious voice was still relatively undiscovered until 1999. With the help of India MTV and some extra promotions from T-Series, Mann`s 1999 album, "Oye Hoye", became an explosive hit. His Punjabi-pop style soon attracted audiences from all over India. Singing was not only a Passion inside him but he started giving his voice to the actors as he turned into a Playback Singer and an Actor too………….

Harbhajan is a playback singer who gave his astonishing performance and miraculous voice and made the song "Husn Jawani" a number in top list.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh:
Harbhajan Mann sung three songs in the movie: Mera rang de, Mera rang de(sad version)and, Sarfaroshi ki tamanna. This music album was released in April, 2003 on Venus music.

Punjabi pop heartthrob Harbhajan Mann for the first time has shown his other side of excellence by appearing in the lead & would floor all with his talent in the movie casting opposite to Priya Gill a very widespread name in Indian subcontinent after delivering smash hits like Sirf Tum, Josh. As a playback singer he sung solo song and some duet songs with Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula, Anuradha paudwal. This music album was released in Sep,2002 on T-Series. Though all the songs, infact the entire movie was a hit all over, Na eh hasda ae was the most popular song amongst all. It would be an understatement to say that this movie touched the heart and soul of all especially the Punjabis staying abroad.

Asa Nu Maan Watna Da
Harbhajan Mann again leaded as a leading actor opposite to Kirandeep Kimmi. He also sung the all seven songs of this movie. Harbhajan Maan sung solo song and some dute songs with Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula and Sunidhi Chauhan. This music album released in March, 2004 on T-series Music. This movie also left a deep impression on the minds of the people who lives abroad, away from their families for one or the other reason and afterwards when they want to again come back and settle in their motherland. This movie translates to "Searching for Our Roots". It was a box office hit in the Western countries and India.

His Achievements:
Harbhajan Mann is honoured by the Punjabi American Heritage Society for their contribution to Punjabi films at the ninth Punjabi American festival, Yuba City in May 2003.

Mr. Mann, the heartthrob, is a singing sensation with his hit debut album " Chithiye Ni Chithiyee", shot to fame with "oye-hoye".

Success came again as Harbhajan took the role of the starring character of Inder in "Jee Ayan Nu" under the banner of T Series in the year 2002 and has established quite a mark. Next success for Harbhajan was "Asa Nu Mann Watna Da" which has been also admired by the audience. Known for his gorgeous voice this "Gin In a Bottle" quickly rose to fame followed by more crooning and chart toppers.
