Galaxy of top stars at Newham’s free music festival

The Asian music night takes place on Saturday September 1 from 6.30pm to 11pm at Central Park, East Ham in East London and is part of a four-day extravaganza.
 Top artistes include Stereo Nation with singing sensation Taz. Stereo Nation stormed the Asian charts with their debut album Hit the Deck. The success of their further albums Spirits of Rhythm, New Dawn and Slave II Fusion have made them one of the nation’s biggest Asian Fusion acts.
Jazzy B, will also be hitting the stage and will get get the crowd jumping. The Crown Prince of Bhangra is best known for his popular hits such as Ghugian da jorra, Londono patola, Naag, Tera roop, Soorma and Dil luteya. Jazzy B's popularity and success in Bhangra can be attributed to his unique style as he experiments with a variety of musical ranges and vocals.

Also performing will be Rishi Rich Showcase featuring HDhami and Mumzy. Rishi Rich is a pioneering producer famous for his mix of bhangra, Bollywood and urban beats. He has produced albums on the British-Asian music scene and has also made a mark on the mainstream charts, producing and remixing hits for Madonna, Britney Spears, Mary J Blige  and Craig David. He formed the Rishi Rich Project, a collective aimed at showcasing new artists.

Dance sensation and choreographer to the stars Honey Kalaria and performers from the Honey Dance Academy will captivate the audience with their sensational moves. Honey was one of the judges on Channel 4’s Bollywood Star and was the Bollywood guru on ITV’s For One Night Only.

Also appearing will be fresh and upcoming talents Avina, and Imran Khan who are already causing a stir in the music scene.

Guest hosts will be BBC Asian Network presenters Sonia Deol, Adil Ray and DJ Kayper.
