Four Shows to Put on Your Walthamstow Calendar

Soho Theatre Walthamstow is establishing itself as a destination for ambitious comedy and live performance, and its upcoming programme offers four particularly exciting dates for audiences to look out for.

27–29 August: Guz Khan & Friends
Guz Khan kicks off the line-up with three nights of comedy, each featuring a different group of stand-up performers. Expect familiar favourites alongside rising talent, with Babatunde Aleshe, Desiree Burch, Jamali Maddix, Doc Brown, Michelle De Swarte and others joining Guz across the weekend. 13 September: The Good Immigrant: LIVE 10th Anniversary
A decade after The Good Immigrant first became a publishing phenomenon, its contributors return for a special live event. Chaired by editor Nikesh Shukla, the evening reflects on the collection’s enduring themes of identity, race, belonging and British life. Get your tickets here.

21 November: Nayab Midha – Rajkumari
Poetry and storytelling take centre stage as Nayab Midha brings her Hindi-language performance Rajkumari to Walthamstow. The show offers a fresh perspective on identity, love and the expectations placed on us by the stories we grow up with. Get your tickets here

6 December: ALOK – Eat Pray Leave
Rounding off the four-show selection is ALOK’s latest comedy show, Eat Pray Leave. Exploring love, heartbreak, desire and self-discovery with trademark razor-sharp wit, it promises a highly personal evening from a performer whose work has reached audiences in more than 40 countries.
