Exclusive interview with Isha Rikhi on “Happy Go Lucky”
Nash speaks to model turned actress Isha Rikhi, about her new film with Amrinder Gill & Gurpreet Ghuggi “Happy Go Lucky”.
Standing at 5′.9″ Chandigarh born Isha Rikhi, who is a model by profession and has walked the ramp for various renowned designers like Rohit Verma, Nitish Chandra etc.
Hi Isha, hope your well, can you tell us about your role in “Happy Go Lucky”
Hi Nash, I’m fine, thank you so much for asking.
The film “Happy Go Lucky” is basically about three brothers ,Happy (Amrinder Gill) , Go (Harish Verma) and Lucky (Sumeet Sandhu) and three sisters .
I am playing the role of a Punjabi Girl called Sirat opposite to Happy (Amrinder Gill). I am impressed by Authority and Police Officer, who would be my dream man and who I would marry. I can’t say to much else or would spoil the film for your Punjab2000.com readers.
How many films have you done before this?
I have made three films before which are Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De, Bade Changay Ne Mere Yaar Kaminey and Desi Munde, “Happy Go Lucky” is my fourth one.
Is this film ready and when is it been released?
The film is at the last stages and the release date if 21/11/14 and the premier is in Chandigarh, that’s where I’m from, its my home town and I can’t wait to watch it with all my family & friends.
I’m soooo excited about it being premiered in Chandighar.
You have followed in the footsteps of many Hindi film industry (Bollywood) actors & actress who are from the world of modelling (Bipasha Basu, Dino Moria, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Ashwaria Rai etc)then take the plunge into acting. Is this a natural progression?
I think it is now, that I am a actress. I was never interested in acting before, my dad has always been quite supportive and he always wanted to see me as a model. I was given a chance for acting and I am now very fascinated by this field.”
I am only 4 films old & only entered this field last year, so lets see what happens.
