The Community Radio Awards celebrate the hard work and dedication of volunteers involved in community radio stations, shows, and communities.

The awards are a judge led process, with judges drawn from the community radio sector, academics, other radio / associated areas and the 3rd sector. The awards are run not for profit completely independent of any organisation or association. It’s being run by a team of volunteers with experience of radio in all forms and sectors from Student, Community to the BBC and Commercial.

There are over 20 categories this year so the judges will be working extremely hard.

Deepa comes from a media background as she’s been a radio broadcaster, an event host and a music publicist. With 14 years of radio presenting experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that makes you her ideal candidate to judge a radio show awards ceremony. Her extensive background in the industry means she has a deep understanding of what makes a radio show engaging, entertaining, and impactful. This insight is invaluable when evaluating the various elements that contribute to a successful broadcast, from content quality and presentation style to audience engagement and technical execution. Deepa also won in the category ‘Entertainment show of the year in 2019’
