Change4Life British Asian Sports Award 2010

Change4Life British Asian Sports Award 2010

The announcement made on Friday 29th May at a special ceremony at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel was attended by a host of famous faces including British Asian Sports Awards ambassador Mark Ramprakash, as well as representatives from the Change4Life campaign.  British Asian Sports Awards winners, nominees and sponsors from previous years also attended.

Rajan Singh, Executive Vice President of Sony Entertainment Television Asia, founder and organiser of the British Asian Sports Awards highlighted the importance of joining forces with Change4Life:

“We at BASA are delighted to have Change4Life on board as the title sponsor in supporting our initiative of promoting physical activity through sports and thereby rewarding the talented in the process. It’s vital that we support budding youngsters in their chosen field of sport and in doing so we will undoubtedly discover a new generation of sports stars.”

Will Cavendish, Director of Health and Wellbeing at the Department of Health said:

“The Change4Life British Asian Sports Awards will not only be a celebration of the successes of British Asian sporting talent, they will also inspire more Asian children and adults to get more active.

“The awards are a great opportunity to encourage everyone to take up physical activities that will have a positive impact on their health.  We should aim to help our children do at least 60 minutes of activity each day.”
