British Asian music trio RDB join forces with Hip Hop Legend Snoop Dogg for Singh Is Kinng

Mammoth producers RDB (Rhythm Dhol Bass) have fused Hollywood with Bollywood by bringing together the renowned American rapper Snoop Dogg and Indian actor Akshay Kumar for the innovative “Singh is Kinng” music video.
RDB born and raised in Bradford have been producing music, djing and performing on stages all over the world for the past decade. The three brothers (Kuly, Manj and Surj) have sung, composed and arranged the title song ‘Singh in Kinng’.

Drawing on their cultural sikh heritage and fusing it with different street genres of music, they constructed the "RDB sound". Since June 2002, RDB have produced on 24 releases in the UK Asian music scene. All albums have hit and held the number one spots in bhangra charts across the board. For two years running the boys were the only UK act to perform a mind blowing set at the IIFA awards with Akshay Kumar, last year in Yorkshire and this year in Bangkok.

The RDB brothers have been the pioneers of the British Asian Music Industry having worked and performed alongside the biggest names in Bollywood; Akshay Kumar, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai to the biggest names in the west, Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy.

Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus is a Grammy Award nominated rapper, singer, record producer and actor. With 9 studio albums under his belt and over 16 million records sold in the US alone, the talented musician is internationally known as a hip hop phenomenon. Snoop’s latest album, “Ego Trippin’” debuted at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart and featured guests such as Pharrell, Charlie Wilson and Everlast. Snoop provides his rapping skills to this project and also appears in the video in a traditional Indian outfit with a turban.

The project bringing these mega-talents together is the soundtrack of the Bollywood film Singh is Kinng. The film is set for release on August 8th.

The film sees Akshay Kumar as Singh, a small town Sikh boy who, because of circumstance, becomes a sinister underworld gangster.
