International Bollywood-Bhangra Superstars RDB Gift a Diamond-Studded Rickshaw to US Rapper T-Pain
World-renowned international Bollywood-Bhangra group RDB, who have collaborated with the Grammy award-winning Hip-Hop star T-Pain on their new track ‘Daddy Da Cash’, recently surprised T-Pain by gifting him a customised auto rickshaw in Miami, America.
The bespoke blinging vehicle is studded with diamonds and gold and features a personalised name plate with T-Pain’s moniker engraved on it and a number plate titled ‘Miami’. The special souvenir was gifted by the ‘Bhangra boys’ to T-Pain after the US star became fascinated by the uniquely Indian mode of transport during his last visit to Mumbai. The vehicle will reportedly be auctioned next year in Los Angeles.
Surj from RDB said: ‘World stars who we have collaborated with in the past have always loved Indian culture and traditions. We always make it a point to give them something that is uniquely ‘Desi’ (Indian) so that they can remember their experience.’
Tipped as the most coveted collaboration of the year, RDB blend their unique brand of traditional Bhangra beats fused with urban grooves with Grammy award-winning music artist T-Pain’s signature Hip-Hop and Rap flavours, presenting fans with a global musical treat.
Only a handful of artists have created an authentic stamp on the music industry, creating not only a genre but a global phenomenon. RDB and T-Pain can be counted amongst the shortlist. The in-demand producers and singers RDB have continually pushed their boundaries, perfecting their artistry to create a sound like no other. RDB boast a catalogue of big-name collaborations with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and Public Enemy and have produced super-hit Bollywood tracks Shera Di Kaum, Singh is Kinng, Kambakkht Ishq, Aloo Chaat and more recently the dance floor filler Tamanche Pe Disco.
With a Grammy award to his credit, T-Pain’s collaboration with RDB marks the Hip-Hop star’s foray into the Indian music scene. T-Pain’s musical partnership with RDB follows earlier collaborations with Kanye West (Good Life), Chris Brown (“Kiss Kiss”) Flo Rida (Low) Plies (Shawty) and Bow Wow (“Outta My System”) resulting in platinum selling singles.
Speaking about the new single, Manj and Surj of RDB say: ‘Daddy da Cash is a Punjabi party anthem made for people to enjoy and have a good time. The idea, concept and melody was put forth by our late brother Kuly Singh; we just improvised it and added an international touch with the help of T-Pain.
