BBC Asian Network’s Raj and Pablo interview Bollywood star Aamir Khan

During the exclusive interview, Khan talks about his family and his early love of film, how he kept his passion hidden from his parents and how he ‘owes his career to his uncle’. He also discusses his successes, his failures, other Bollywood stars and the prospect of Hollywood – ‘I don’t think I could make a Hollywood movie, I don’t think I belong there’. After taking questions from the excitable audience, Khan finished the interview by giving advice to any budding Bollywood actors and writers.

Aamir Khan is one of Bollywood’s most renowned actors. Starting his career at a young age with the film Yaadon Ki Baaraat, his professional career kicked off with the film Holi. Over the years, he has acted in the successful Bollywood films Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Raja Hindustani and Dil Chahta Hai and produced and acted in the Oscar nomintaed Lagaan. Khan has won numerous Filmfare Awards for his acting, production and direction.
