ASTON VILLA FC HEAD TO WEMBLEY THIS SUNDAY FOR CARLING CUP FINAL....

ASTON VILLA FC HEAD TO WEMBLEY THIS SUNDAY FOR CARLING CUP FINAL….

The Birmingham Football Association would like to congratulate Aston Villa Football Club in reaching the Carling Cup Final, where they face the challenge of defeating a rampant Manchester United Football Club at Wembley this Sunday.

The Claret and Blue army will be travelling down to the Wembley fortress with their minds firmly set on achieving one goal…. the chance to lift their first piece of Silverware of the new Millennium.

The task ahead will be tough, but Martin O ‘Neill’s men are not short of motivation and determination to carry on their journey to Carling Cup success, as they set out to defeat the their northern competitors, who are currently enjoying a great spell of form, with the man of the moment Wayne Rooney in tip top shape.

However Aston Villa FC are up for the challenge as their road to Wembley has been a difficult task in its own, as the club enjoyed a number of twists and turns that saw them face the likes of Portsmouth, Wigan and Sunderland in a series of tough ties which they managed to overcome.

Former Aston Villa FC player Dwight Yorke believes that the task ahead will be achievable thanks to the brilliance of  Aston Villa manager Martin O Neill.

“Martin is doing a great job at the club. Hopefully the Carling Cup would be a great success for the club, a club that deserves to start bringing trophies to the table on a more consistent basis”

The Carling Cup Final this weekend is sold out, however Villa fans still have the opportunity to watch the tie amongst their claret and blue family as the club are opening their stadium for fans to watch the game on their big screens. For ticketing and further information please visit www.avfc.co.uk
