As the originator of scratching and mixing, Grandmaster Flash is a legend in hip hop culture. With his group, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Flash was the first hip hop artist ever to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And on his own, Flash is the only hip hop DJ ever inducted.

But what Flash is famed for is being the grand showmaster of DJs. Techniques he invented back in the day are still being imitated today – cutting, mixing, scratching, spinning, juggling with his elbows, fingers and toes… Grandmaster Flash is the King!

And with this, Alizé welcomes Grandmaster Flash to London, at Paper Nightclub on Regent Street on Saturday October 24th. The date is a culmination of the Alizé Remixed tour which has offered regional DJs the chance to play alongside legends from Alizé’s history. All five winners will come together at Paper for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to DJ on the same bill as Grandmaster Flash.

Birmingham winner E Double D said “With Alizé Remixed, I have already played alongside Jazzy Jeff, and that was massive. Now I am playing with the GOD of hip hop. It’s just unreal!”

With its roots firmly in RnB and Hip Hop, Alizé is a legendary liqueur on the music scene. From name checks in some of the biggest tracks ever, to VIP rooms at some of the hottest parties around the world, Alizé is the soundtrack for the best nights out.
