Agam Darshi

Actress, screenwriter, graphic designer, and producer Agam Darshi is currently playing a lead role on CTV’s newest undercover cop drama “Played.”

Born in Birmingham, UK and raised all over Canada: Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary and finally settled in Vancouver. Her passion for acting began at the very young age of 14. She persued her dream by attending the “University of Calgary” graduating with a BFA in visual Arts and Theater, Later also attended college in Vancouver “Langara College” for screewnwriting.

Agam’s first professional role was given for ” renegadepress.com ” , and from then on has been a non stop force in the industry. With a list of roles played such as “Tru Calling” , “The Dead Zone”, ” The L Word”,  “Pink Ludoos” and as “Laura” in the horror movie “Final Destination 3” … just to name a few.  She has worked on film scripts, two being her own independent films, and has also written numerous amount of plays.

Agam co-founded “Vancouver’s International South Asian Film Festival” (VISAFF) to help bring together the gap between South Asian Talent and mainstream audiences. VISAFF wants to help break any stereotype viewed by North Americans toward Bollywood, the Artists, and Culture beyond. Vancouver International South Asian Film festival, now in its 3rd year growing and getting bigger, serves as a Launchpad for integration through celebration and education.

“Fade Out” which Agam wrote was her first directorial debut with Bravo Fact Film. She received a “Canadian Comedy Award” nomination for best ensemble season 1 and 2’s lead role in “Dan for Mayor.” In 2013, Agam won a “Leo Award” for her role in “Bruce Sweeny’s Crimes of Mike Recket” , and worked with Emmy Award winner Jason Katmis in the NBC production “County.”

Traveller and vegetarian, Agam made “Anokhi” magazines “Sexy and Successful List” for 2008, and was named one of TV Week’s “10 Most Beautiful People in BC” for 2010.
