Big Brother’s Little Sister Shilpa Shetty, Brings her own “Royals” to London
As co-owner of the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals, the model, businesswoman and actress is preparing to bring Bollywood glamour – along with cricket legends like Shane Warne, Graeme Smith and Owais Shah – to Lord’s, the Home of Cricket on 6th July.
Shilpa has broken new ground before – she was the first Bollywood star to enter the Big Brother house and also to meet the Queen. Now she’s bringing the glitz of the Indian Premier League to Lord’s.
The Indian Premier League made the headlines this season when England’s big hitters Freddie Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen signed million dollar contracts to join the world’s cricketing elite.
Rajasthan Royals, the 2008 IPL champions headed by Warne, will play the champions of the 2008 Twenty20 Cup in England, the Middlesex Panthers, captained by former England International, Shaun Udal. The match will be played in aid of the British Asian Trust, a Prince of Wales’ charity.
So, as the game begins for a new batch of housemates and they find themselves stumped with a host of new challenges, Shilpa prepares to hit Lord’s for six!
Tickets are now on sale through the Lord's ticket office on 020 7432 1000 and online at http://ticketsales.lords.org/.
