Gift of Hope to Take Charity to New Heights

This October, the Gift of Hope Trust invites you to take the challenge of a lifetime and scale the dynamic heights of Mount Kilimanjaro in the Climb of Hope

The trust, which works with a local partner (Food for Life VrindavanFFLV) in India to deliver a community development project comprising of schools, a hospital and orphanage, has organised this fundraising climb to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to raise funds for the charity.

‘The Roof of Africa’s’ peak stands at a mighty 5,895 metres and climbers will be invited to travel the Rongai Route, which is tailored to increase greater chances of success.

The Gift of Hope Trust is a non profit UK based organisation whose mission is social development and the education of children and women in the poverty stricken rural settlements of Vrindavan, India.

Food for Life Vrindavan’s projects include building valuable schools, food distribution, healthcare, building water wells in villages, and improving the environment and social welfare to the local community, where poverty, neglect and abuse is rife.

Actor Ravin J Ganatra, UK co-ordinator of Gift of Hope says of the Climb of Hope: “I have worked with Food for Life Vrindavan for the past five years, and it is one of the most emotional and satisfying projects that I have been involved with. The climb is a way of challenging boundaries, but also getting young people involved in the fundraising. Gift of Hope plans to create new and exciting ways of getting our communities involved and helping some of these young girls out of poverty and encouraging them to sustain a positive life.”

Each Climb of Hope participant will be required to raise £3,000, which will be given directly to the charity. The money raised will help change the lives of the women and children in Vrindavan, forever.
