BLOODY BROTHERS REVIEW

ZEE5’s upcoming series, Bloody Brothers has everything that you can expect from a thriller: secrets, mystery and intrigue. But what makes it completely different from other Indian thrillers that we’ve seen is the realism. The realistic essence of the relationship between the lead characters, Jaggi and Daljeet (played by Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub respectively) is what keeps the story going and releases the secrets that the two brothers have tried so hard to conceal.

The series is split into 6 parts and focuses on the two brothers, Jaggi and Daljeet. They are completely different from one other and are forced to work together when they accidently run over an innocent man. What follows is a rollercoaster as they try to conceal this deep secret of theirs without either of them being harmed.

Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub are brilliant in this series. Known for playing gritty and dark characters, they fit the persona of Jaggi and Daljeet to a tee. The lengths that they are willing to go to, to protect each other, is relatable to any brother-duo and you forget for a moment that they aren’t really brothers.

Director Shaad Ali clearly knew his vision and how he wanted to Bloody Brothers to be shown. The storytelling is simple yet effective and is carried by the brothers who keep the momentum going. The way in which the secrets are revealed are done so in such a clever way that you never see them coming and it’s only on the last moment, that things turn around.

Bloody Brothers will surely make you ask a lot of questions. It will make you think twice whether Jaggi and Daljeet are doing the right thing. It’ll make you want to delve deeper into their relationship. And that’s what makes Bloody Brothers a great watch.
