FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE CAST ON DUMBLEDORE & GRINDELWALDS’S RELATIONSHIP

Ever since we heard Grindelwald’s name in the Harry Potter books and how he was connected to Dumbledore, we’ve all been keen to see what happened between them. With the newest instalment of Fantastic Beasts, that’s exactly what we will see. The cast reunited for a virtual press conference and talked about their latest film.

Jude Lawwho plays the enigmatic younger Dumbledore said it was really important to show who he was before he met Grindelwald. “I always imagined that being Dumbledore was actually in quite a lonely place being — that he was brilliant and outstanding at a very young age, to the point where he probably felt slightly isolated or someone who was maybe diminishing his own sense of power and self and scope and ambition.”

Mads Mikkelson added “”Nobody in history has actually started out saying, ‘I’m gonna be the bad guy’, right? So we have to figure out what his mission is, what’s his goal? Why is he trying to make the world a better place?”

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is released in UK cinemas on 8th April 2022.
