Zee Punjabi gets a new look, new content and free-to-air period to delight viewers

London, 13th August 2010.  Hot on the heels of the successful launch of its fifth channel Zee Café and recent announcement of record-breaking subscriber growth, Zee Network is now revamping Zee Punjabi, the specialist, general entertainment channel aimed at the Punjabi community.

The rebrand kicks-off on 16th August, with the unveiling of the new logo and the introduction of a new tagline Apni Boli, Apna Maan.  But it doesn’t stop there!

The new look Zee Punjabi offers great, new content. Highlights include:

The real treat for viewers is that they can watch it all for free as Zee Punjabi will be free-to-air from 16th August to 5th September.

“Since the launch of our Punjabi channel in 2002 we have always endeavoured to cater for the specific needs of the Punjabi community.  Whilst Gurbani from the Golden Temple remains at the heart of the channel to ensure a religious connection, we wanted to build on this and offer even more programmes rich in Punjabi culture.  We believe a channel rebrand should be more than just a new logo, it should offer viewers something new and different and Zee Punjabi will deliver on all fronts,” said Govind Shahi, Head of Business, Zee Network, Europe.

With even more new content planned for later this year, the continued investment in Zee Punjabi demonstrates Zee Network’s commitment to delivering the best in Punjabi entertainment to the Punjabi community in the UK.

Zee Punjabi will be free-to-air from 16th August to 5th September on Sky channel 798
